New Track: Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning

Sorry this is a little late, I had a crazy weekend at the grand opening of Epic Universe and then figured I’d wait until an exciting new track was out today…

The Mission: Impossible franchise comes to an end (?) in The Final Reckoning and I hit the drive-in to record a commentary track for it! After Dead Reckoning was... good... I was curious to see if Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning would be able to bring it all home - and by "all" I mean the previous seven movies! Haven't watched all of those recently? Don't worry, this movie spends an hour showing you clips from them. Not kidding! Hey, lets do this one last time...

Ohhhhh no.

Inspired by the bits that didn't age as well in Just Friends, my sister Jillian & I are continuing our educational research into whether or not various 2000's movies could be made today by watching a movie we KNOW has to have aged like milk.

Shallow Hal asks the question "what if larger people deserved love?" and it doesn't really answer that question so much as just keep asking it. Starring Jack Black, Gwyneth Paltrow in a f*t suit, and George Costanza, this movie would certainly be difficult to rewrite and make work in 2025... but I do think it's possible! Maybe!

The Not-So-Last of Us

I didn't love season 1 of The Last of Us like other people did, but I enjoyed it enough that I'm curious what season 2 has in store. Right outta the gate, they've added Cutie-I-Wouldn't-Mind-Seeing-On-Screen Kaitlyn Dever to keep me interested! But will it be enough to counter my disinterest in Joel & Ellie? Or maybe they've actually improved their story / relationship?? If not... hey, at least this season is shorter!
